Formby Swimming Club

Formby Pool Trust is very excited to provide the opportunity for swimmers to continue their development by joining Formby’s very own Swimming Club. The club provides the perfect avenue for those wishing to progress into competitive swimming. Formby Swimming Club, established in 2012, have three squads that range from swimming improvement to competitive swimming.

The club is continuing to go from strength to strength, achieving registration with the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA), thus allowing entry into a wider range of formal galas. Our fantastic team lead by head coach Paul Cumberbatch provides vast experience and knowledge, working within the Long Term Athlete Development plan (LTAD). Paul is supported by a vastly experienced coaching team who are committed to swimming excellence.

The Club welcomes swimmers looking to swim at a competitive level as well as those wishing to increase fitness and stamina levels. For more details and information please enquire at reception to arrange a trial. Club sessions take place three times per week at a monthly cost of £40.80 per month. Together the club and Formby Pool Trust are also passionate about establishing a development path for experienced club swimmers, providing opportunities for them to establish themselves as swimming teachers and coaches of the future.
